Letter From Recruitment Chair
To the women looking for their home away from home,
When reflecting on my past three years as a Phi Mu at Sacramento State, it has truly been one of the most impactful decisions I have ever made. For those of you thinking of registering for recruitment this fall, you’re already on the right track! Recruitment is a chance for you to step outside of your comfort zone and get ready to embark on an incredible journey within Greek Life.
Phi Mu has given myself, as well as many others, a sense of belonging when I needed it the most. This organization has given me my closest friends and strongest support system throughout college. I see our values of love, honor, and truth embodied in each and every one of our sisters. From friendship to diversity to building character, our chapter stands to represent these qualities. For these reasons, I am so grateful to be surrounded by such a unique group of intelligent, genuine, and passionate women who have helped shape who I am today.
As a member of a sorority, you will create amazing memories, share endless laughs, and truly become the best version of yourself alongside other women in your chapter. All of the benefits will enhance your college experience and positively impact your life forever. In addition, Phi Mu has offered me extensive leadership opportunities that have led me to develop many skills that will help me as I transition into the work field once graduating. It is with Phi Mu and the women that I get the pleasure of calling my sisters, that I have been able to realize my full potential, and so will you!
Whether you decide to join Phi Mu or another sorority, I am genuinely excited for you to embark on this journey as a sorority woman. Our chapter is filled with excitement to meet you and learn about what makes you, you. We look forward to introducing you to Phi Mu and showing you what makes our sisterhood so uniquely special. I can assure you that the recruitment process will reward you with lifelong friendships, a community that will always have your back, and opportunities to grow as a leader, volunteer, and as a person. The pride I have to be able to be a Phi Mu is immeasurable, and I am very excited for you to begin a new journey in your life!
